About translation in English and French

The visit of Professor Mikhael Ustinoff, Doctor of Philological Science, occurred due to the second stage of “sandwich model”. He gave two lections about theory of translation and translation studies in English and French.

Professor especially emphasized on difficulties of literary translation and gave a classic example, – “Lolita”, the novel by Vladimir Nabokov.

“The lections provoked positive feedback from teachers and students of BelSU. They told about an importance of such events and experience exchange between the universities. The Institute is ready for a further cooperation”, – said vice director for scientific and international affairs Prof. Jerome Bagana, coordinator of cooperation with Sofia-Antipolis.
