International Student’s Day

An international Student’s Day is celebrated at 17^th of November, but BelSU has a tradition of a long and lively celebration. Last Tuesday was livened up by a dance flashmob and 19^th of December become a concert day at Youth Cultural Centre.

An event was opened by the choir of BelSU singing “Gaudeamus”, – the students’ hymn. More than 30 students had got The Principal’s honorary certificates for the active social life, studies, sports and creativity. Vice-principal for culture and education Svetlana Ostrikova congratulated the audience from the name of The Principal: “College is the best time of our lives. The students bring fame to our university in Belgorod region and in our country. Thanks to the most active of them, all of you can be proud of studying at the one of the greatest Russian universities, – BelSU”.

“Veresk” art-studio, “31 Region”, classic dance ensemble “Terpsihora-Alisa”, modern dance studio “Dance House”, sports dance ensemble “Belogorochka”, “Exclusive” show-group and “Vdohnoveniye” have performed for the audience. But besides the professional artists, the creative teams of students, united by friendship, also raised their voices: “Zvezdniy AlgoRitm” band from Institute of Engineering and Natural Science sang “Ya lublu tebya do slez” and “Vperyod, Rossia”, and students from Ecuador, Columbia, China, Kenya and other countries have impressed the audience with their national dances.
