Young diplomats summed up the results

The UN model united the students from BelSU, Voronezh State University, Volgograd State Technological University, the students of Belgorod colleges and schools. The Model was organized by UN Club of Belgorod State University and Culture and Education Department of BelSU.

“The participants can try to perform the work of diplomats in UN. They need a certain skills in political and economic activities, awareness of the strict parliamentary procedure rules and competence in official UN languages (Russian and English). All problems for discussion are most closely resemble the agenda of UN sessions”, – said administrators.

For three days the students have not only played business games, but modeled the problematic situations the UN deals with: resistance to radical religious manifestations, fight strategy against ISIS, refugee’s problems in modern world etc.

The results were summed up by students and their older colleagues: vice rector for culture and education of BelSU Svetlana Ostrikova, Candidate of Historical Sciences, professor of BelSU International Relations Subdepartment Vera Malai, master-level teacher of “Interlingva” language school, associate professor Valentin Doborovich, Candidate of Philological Sciences.

Every division of the Model took a resolution for all items of the agenda and chose the best delegates. All participants were awarded with certificates.
