The second international volunteering school “Dobrovolets-2015” united almost hundred students from Russian Federation and CIS
The school for volunteers “Dobrovolets-2015” was organized last year by BelSU together with Ministry of Science and Education of Russia due to the program of students’ unions development. This year “Dobrovolets” widened not only its geography, but its educational program too.
“The School is organized as part of International Day of Disabled Persons events (December, 3). It is oriented on improvement of volunteering help for disabled persons. According to Pension Fund of Russian Federation, there are 12,5 millions of disabled people in Russia, 4 millions of them are at employable age. These people can fully participate in social life if the accessible environment and active support would be available for them”, – said organization committee’s representatives: depute dean of BelSU Theology Department Marina Polenova and assistant professor of social work subdepartment Kseniya Korolyova.
The school would work for five days. Its program includes workshops, presentations, round-table conferences, meetings, events and projects’ presentations.
In the end all participants will receive certificates and diplomas. The authors of the best projects would be awarded with prizes. All volunteers would also take part in the largest regional charity event “Tyoplym slovom – dobrym delom” (“By the warm word and the good deed”).
