The people of spirit

For the third time “Burevestnik” became home for “The people of spirit” event. It was organized for BelSU Pedagogical Institute Physical Education Department and supported by trade union committee of the university and Social Services Office of Belgorod Administration.

The participants competed in sports, testing strength, agility, speed and wits. They ran a relay race, played games etc.

The honorary guest of the event was Master of Sport of Russia in rifle and pistol shooting, Master’s degree student of BelSU Physical Education Department Andrei Kozhemyakin. He confirmed that the event became a good tradition of the university.

“I like to be here. First, because it is a holiday for disabled people with strong spirit, for those who leads a difficult life, but has strength to go in for sports and keeps a healthy lifestyle. Second, I’m happy that such event happens in my alma mater, I want to thank administration of the university for such important social events”, – he said.

Special holidays are not the only form of support for disabled children. A new Master’s degree program “Physical Rehabilitation” was opened at BelSU Pedagogical Institute Physical Education Department to train specialists in children rehabilitation.
