BelSU and National Polytechnic School of Ecuador shall create an international laboratory
The decision about cooperation was made during the visit of the head of radiation physics laboratory Aleksandr Kubankin to Equador. The universities would not only exchange scientific and technic experience, but would also create an international laboratory.
“The laboratory would be used for theoretical and experimental research of interacting processes of accelerated charged particles, x-ray emission and a number of other matters”, – said Aleksandr Kubankin.
The research topics are not new for the scientists of BelSU radiation physics laboratory; they’ve explored it earlier together with Lebedev Institute of Physics, Kurchatovskiy Institute and MSU. The next step for the laboratory is the gathering of international research team. BelSU supports such activities in Italy (national laboratory of Gran-Sasso) and Ecuador (National Polytechnic School).
Such cooperation requires many specialists, so, the laboratory created Student’s Construction Bureau, where all students can train skills in experimental radiation physics and continue to work on major Russian and foreign projects.
