BelSU and Emerald Cultural Institute will continue cooperation

At the beginning of the meeting, the Principal of Belgorod State University Oleg Polukhin thanked Mauro Biondi for long-term cooperation with BelSU and ensured the audience that business relationship between BelSU and ECI would be strengthened.

“I am sure that cooperation between our universities will last and we will realize new programs and projects”, – said Prof. Polukhin.

In his turn, Director of Emerald Cultural institute Mauro Biondi noted that the cooperation with BelSU is a motivation for ECI’s further development.

“We have been cooperation with Belgorod State University for 11 years, and your projects, – International Students’ Office, for example, – are splendid. We shall adopt your best practices”, – he said.

The signing of memorandum will become the basis for further realization of existing and possible directions of cooperation, including English language programs for training BelSU’s students for TOEFL/IELTS; combined educational programs: intensive language coursed at Emerald Cultural Institute and exchange education in Irish colleges.

The sides discussed development of such programs and creation of International Cross-Cultural Communcation Centre. Mauro Biondi is ready to help with this project as an expert. The university will also invite foreign specialists. During the year additional agreements would be made for the memorandum.

During their visit, Irish partners have presented ECI’s language programs, met with active members of International Students’ Office and students of language specialties. Mauro Biondi has told about importance of studying English for harmonious personality’s development in multicultural world and its importance in international conversation.

BelSU has begun its cooperation with Emerald Cultural Institute (ECI) in 2005. 109 students of BelSU have improved their level of English speaking there and got certificates since then.
