Dictionary Days in Paris

Prof. Arkadiy Sedykh was invited by the National Scientific Research Centre and Cergoe-Pontoise University to take part in “Dictionary Days” International Scientific Conference in Alliances Francaises in Paris.

The conference, organized by the famous French linguist, Commandeur des palmes académiques Jean Pruvost was dedicated to somatic lexicon and sports.

Arkadiy Sedykh presented a report “Russian and French sports lexicon: semantic and culturological contrasts” at the plenary meeting. He presented contrast description of French and Russian sports term in linguoculturological context. During the meeting, linguists discussed perspectives of cooperation in linguistics and language studying, – scientific information exchange due to academic mobility, cooperative fundamental research, young scientists’ training.
