Teachers, students and alumni of English Philology and Cross-cultural Communication Department took part in the French film festival
The first French film festival in Belgorod was organized by the Embassy of France in Russia, the French Institute in Russia, with the support of a National network of cinemas "Cinema Park", and with the participation of the French Language Resource Centre of English Philology and Cross-cultural Communication Department.
On the festival five interesting French films of different genres were represented to the audience. These films show the creativity and originality of French cinema. All films were shown in French language with Russian subtitles, and because of that it was very interesting for teachers and students of English Philology and Cross-cultural Communication Department.
Associate Professor of English Philology and Cross-cultural Communication Department Svetlana Androsova opened the Festival. She congratulated audience with the holiday and expressed gratitude to the organizers of this unique project and told some information about each film of the festival.
The first film of the festival was the romantic comedy “Up for Love ” with Jean Dujardin in the lead role. On the second day of the festival the drama “Сhocolate” with Omar Si in the lead role was shown. Besides it there were shown such films as “Margaret”, “The Measure of a Man” and “Saint Amour”.
The great impression on students made films “Margaret”, “The Measure of a Man” and “Сhocolate”.
This festival allowed students and teachers to learn something new about French tradition and culture.
