The Foreign Song Contest “UNIVISION”

University contest “UNIVISION” has become traditional. Every year students present their projects in foreign languages.

In the final of the VIII contest 10 teams contented for the right to win the Grand Prix and the Cup “UNIVISION–2016”. There were songs in English, German, French and Russian (as foreign) languages.

The student of the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the Pedagogical Institute Ksenia Devyatnikova won the Grand Prix and took the Cup “UNIVISION”. She sang the song from the cartoon “Frozen Heart” in French.

The first place diploma was given to Anushik Mahajan for the song “Apricot stone”. Anastasia Andriyuk, the student of Economics Institute, received the second degree diploma and won a special prize “The most original project”. Third place in the contest was won by Alexander Charikov, a student of Faculty of Preschool, Primary and Special education of the Pedagogical Institute, for the song “Show must go on”.

Nike Klyushin, the student of faculty of physical culture won the special prize “Perfection of the Language” for the song “See you again”. Casimo Ntinda and Irina Tupikova received the prize in the category “Best voice” for the song “Don't disappear”.

First-year student of faculty of Preschool, Primary and Special education of the Pedagogical Institute Anna Danilova won a special prize “The Favorite of the contest” for the song “"My heart will go on” in German language.

In the anniversary year of the BelSU the Director of the foreign language education Center “Polyglot” and the author of the project Olga Moiseenko established a special prize “The Permanent presenter of the contest”. Daria Kuznetsova, the fourth-year student of the Faculty of Mathematics and Science Education won this award.

“This event provides an opportunity for student’s self-realisation, for overcoming the language barrier and helps to reveal their talents,” – said The President of the Jury Stella Anutik.
