“The rivalry of Russian and Kazakhstani boxing school is classical for every international competition. The beginning of the fight was predictable: Vasiliy Levit tried to act first, and Tischenko has kept the distance, using the vantage of his long arms. The match was breathtaking, with many dangerous blows. Levit tried to engage Tischenko into the fight, but Eugeniy didn’t abandon his tactics despite his wound”, – said sports experts.
The result of the match is 3:0 (29−28, 29−28, 29−28). The golden medal went to Russian sportsman.
«Both of us didn’t know who will win. I gave it all for that. I’ve tried to be an attacker, but missed some hard blows. I’ve tried to counter every blow; I’ve done my best to win and judges agree with that. Thanks to my rival, it was the hardest match on a tournament», – said Tischenko.
