The students of the Institute of Cross-cultural Communications and International Relations took part in the XIV Austrian-Russian Summer College.
The XIV Austrian-Russian Summer College took place in St.-Petersburg. Under the leadership of the experienced professors 20 Austrian and 20 Russian students that have passed the strict competitive selection have increased their knowledge of German and Russian languages. The students of 3rd year of German branch of the Institute of Cross-cultural Communications and International Relations Alena Evtushenko and Elvira Tsurikova presented the BelSU.
During the Summer College there were classes, tours and trips. This helped the students from Austria and Russia get to know each other, enrich knowledge, and give a complete view of the science, culture and art of both countries. The necessary requirement was the defense of their projects.
“10 projects were represented during the Summer College which was developed jointly by two Austrian and two Russian students. My team, for example, has prepared “Photo-Quest”. We divided all the students into small groups and gave them a task – to take photos of the local sights’, said Alena Evtushenko.
The participation in Summer College allowed the students to acquire extensive knowledge due to communications with native speakers.
“Our lessons were very interesting. We read different texts, listened to songs, watched films. However the main advantage was to get acquaintance with new people. I learned a lot about Austria. We continue to chat after College”, said Elvira Tsurikova.
The Austrian side defrayed the expenses of the participation in Summer College.
