The research-practical conference of the Institute of Economics

The conference was organized by the Department of “Finance, investment and innovation”. The co-organizers of the event were: University of Bremen (Germany), Serge Pontoise University (France), Varna University (Bulgaria), Academy of Finance and business (Poland), Saint-Petersburg state economic University and other partner universities.

The practitioners of financial and credit structures of Belgorod, University professors, teachers, post-graduate students, graduate students and students attended the conference.

Seven sections of the research areas:

- strategic guidelines for the development of the economy;

- government, corporate and municipal finance;

- investment, innovation, financial engineering and outsourcing;

- development of financial markets and institutions;

- banks and banking activity in modern economies;

- foreign economic activity and international economic relations;

- social and economic development of regions in Russia and abroad.

“The holding of scientific measures of this level in the beginning of the academic year is symbolic as today is the International day of the financier. And with this holiday we congratulate all our Russian and foreign colleagues, professors and students of the University and of the Institute of Economics. It is possible to achieve targets and new prospects for the domestic economy only by joint action of the symbiosis of educational and scientific institutions, structures of the financial and real sectors”, said the Director of the Institute of Economics Marina Valentinova.

The chief of inspection of federal tax service for the city of Belgorod S. P. Voronin, Director of the Belgorod regional branch of JSC “Russian agricultural Bank” A. A. Kiselev, Deputy Governor of the Belgorod branch of Sberbank E.A. Lipatova, Deputy Director of the Institute of Economics for international and scientific activities O. V. Vaganova were at the conference.

The issues of impact of sanctions on the Russian financial system, improvement of the Russian taxation, increasing the level of financial literacy of various segments of the population and prospects of development of the domestic economy were actively discussed. The certificates of gratitude were presented to Lipatova E. A. and S. P. Voronin at the end of the conference.
