The professor of the Department of international law of Warmian-Masurian University in Olsztyn (Poland), the doctor of law Michal Pietkiewicz read a lecture in Law Institute.
The Director of the Law Institute Evgeny Tonkov warmly welcomed the foreign guest. During the semester Michal Pietkiewicz will read the post-graduate students and undergraduates of the international law specialization the course of lectures on European law in English.
The lectures by well-known Polish lawyer, who received his law education in his country and the United States, aroused the interest not only of undergraduates and post-graduate students, but also students of international law specialization who attend extra classes. His visit to BelSU became possible due to the fact that in 2015 the Principals of both universities Oleg Polukhin and Ryszard Gorecki signed a cooperation agreement.
In accordance with the agreement in the previous academic year 13 students of the Law Institute studied during the semester in the Polish partner institute. In February 2017 it is planned to send in Olsztyn another group of future lawyers. And already on September 22-23 of this year, the Principal of the Warmian- Mazurian University Ryszard Gorecki will take part in the events dedicated to the celebration of the 140th anniversary of BelSU.
