The scientists from BelSU took part in the annual international scientific conference organized by ASEEES (Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies)
48th conference in Washington DC was dedicated to Global Conversation. More than two thousand people: historians, politologists, anthropologists and philologists from all over the world took past in 685 panel meetings.
ASEEES was founded in 1948 at Pittsburg University, it has more than three thousand members including four scientists from BelSU: Prof. Irina Kuprieva, Dr. Phil., Mikhail Semyonov, Candidate of Historic Sciences, Oksana Shevchenko, Candidate of Historic Sciences and Eugeniya Menshikova, Candidate of Historic Sciences.
The scientists from BelSU organized a panel conference “Russian Province in the Late 19th - Early 20th Century: Cultural Uniqueness or a Part of the European Cultural Conversation” and presented their reports in English.
The chairwoman and moderator of the conference was Irina Kuprieva, the discussant – Professor of Florida International University (USA) Rebecca Fridman. The reports of BelSU scientists kindled an interest and lively discussion between foreign scientists who have visited the conference.
This is not the first such event for scientists from BelSU – last year they took part in the 47th conference in Philadelphia (USA).
