Defending ecology

A year ago, Sergei Chentsov Сергей Ченцов won a prize at the contest for young lawyers from more than 150 educational facilities of Russia. His second try was more successful: his work was named the best from 2400 others.

“Ecology right has top priority for me, – said Sergei. – For the contest I studied the real case which has taken place in our region and prepared it and proposed a strategy to prevent such cases of human ecology right violation”.

Assistant professor of BelSU Institute of Law Employment and Labor Law and Trading Law Subdepartment Nadezhda Mityakina supervised Sergei on his way to the victory.

The contest took place at St. Petersburg under the aegis of “Bellona” ecological human rights center and “Ecologiya y Pravo” magazine. The jury consisted of leading Russian experts in ecological lawmaking and law practice, authorities etc.
