At the 14th of March BelSU celebrated International Pi Day
Pi Day is celebrated at 14th of March because this date fits the first figures of the number: 3,14. And the time coincide with following figures: 1:59:26.
The event was initiated by Anna Yaduta, assistant professor of Mathematics and IT Department and students. They’ve told audience about legends concerning Pi number in Babylonian and Biblical tales, gave praising speeches to this number and stage performances, ate pies, – traditional Pi Day food, – solved mathematic puzzles an listened to music, composed with Pi number.
At the end of the meeting the students of BelSU Institute of Engineering Technologies and Natural Sciences congratulated the students and teachers of their Institute with its 20th Anniversary in May.
