BelSU took part in the Victory Day’s Remembrance Wave and Immortal Regiment March
Administration, directors of institutes and deans of departments, the chairman of the trade-union organization of BelSU, students and teachers of the university have laid a wreath and flowers at a monument to the Grieving Mother and the Eternal flame at Cathedral Square of Belgorod to traditionally honor the Victory Day. After having a minute of silence for deceased veterans who have fallen in the fights for the Homeland and freedom, students and employees of BelSU have joined the Immortal Regiment.
- The Immortal Regiment is formed not by the invitation but only at call of one’s soul. Therefore I can't precisely tell a number of our students and employees presenting here, but I saw very many. It is especially pleasant that in the majority people have come with their families. Such connection between generations, the general pride for the ancestors also cultivates patriotism, - the vice principal for cultural and educational activity Svetlana Ostrikova said.
The same day the management and representatives of the BelSU Teacher training college had a minute of silence for the died soldiers and have laid a wreath and flowers at the memorial at a mass grave to the Soviet soldiers, located near the Belgorod airport.
