BelSU popularizes intellectual sports

According to organizers, the event is held for the purpose of familiarizing of children with intellectual sports, adaptation and integration of children with limited opportunities of health.

The strongest chess players and checkers players of Belgorod region, members of BelSU chess club have held simultaneous chess games for boys and girls.

On behalf of the rector of university of all children and parents the vice rector of BelSU for cultural and educational activity Svetlana Ostrikova welcomed the guests and participants:

- Intellectual development of the personality is of great importance for our university. And it is very good that many children are keen on these sports today, – she said.

More than 160 children from the cities of Belgorod, Shebekino, Novy Oskol and Belgorod, Korochansky, Chernyansky and Yakovlevsky districts, children with limited opportunities from State Budgetary Institution Center of Adaptive Sport and Physical Culture of the Belgorod Region have participated in game sessions.

Following the results of sessions, each participant got a diploma, a medal and a sweet gift. The participants who have achieved positive result have received mementoes from local trade-union organizations.
