Pushkin’s Day was celebrated at BelSU

Students, teachers, employees and guests of the Belgorod State University gathered for the holiday which has become to traditional. At the event organized by the staff of N. Strakhov Scientific library, everyone could participate in a paper-cutting master class "Silhouette". The ensemble of the scenic and ball dance "Inspiration" has performed for the audience. Solo on an electronic piano was performed by Victoria Kyrbashyan. In the performance the vice rector for culturally educational activity of the Belgorod State University Svetlana Ostrikova, has noted that Pushkin is the sun the Russian poetry, and through his works we join good and beauty.

“Today is the birthday of the great poet, extraordinary person which has overcome time and space, - Svetlana Ostrikova said. – For centuries in our country and abroad people study and love Alexander Pushkin's work. Pushkin is the person who has created Russian language”.

For the audience quizes on knowledge of works of Pushkin have been held. Organizers managed to recreate not only the atmosphere of fairy tales of the great national poet, but also gave dances and dresses a shade of the 19th century. In conclusion students of institutes and faculties of BelSU have read Alexander Sergeyevich's poems which have become close to each person both in Russia and beyond its borders.
