Student's political game "Elections of the governor for Belgorod region" has taken place on September 4 at Social and Theological department of BelSU
The action has been organized by the Club of young political scientists operating at department of cultural science and political science.
Five teams representing various structural divisions of BelSU have participated in a game. Members of teams have acted as campaign headquarters of the candidate who headed each team.
Participants needed to offer own program of the candidate for governors of Belgorod region, to describe strategy and tactics, that they would use in a real election campaign, to prepare the address of the candidate to voters and to develop the propaganda leaflet.
The expert jury headed by the chairwoman of jury, the head of BelSU PR Department Veronika Smirnova, the head of managing department of cultural science and political science Alla Krivets and the head of Club of young political scientists Roman Travin has named the winner in the Political strategists nomination – the team of department of philosophy and theology with the student of group 87001701 Yaroslav Popchenko for candidate.
The winner in the Policies nomination has been defined by election: all members of audience who were present at the hall received bulletins with surnames of candidates and voted for the most promising candidate. The victory went to Anwar Mirsharipov who led the team of cultural science and political science department. Special election commission formed of representatives from each team were formed for calculations.
Summing up the game results, the chairwoman of the jury Veronika Smirnova has noted that it is the first experience of such game which had shown students’ interest in studying of political technologies and participation in political life of the country and the region.
