"PLATFORM-31" IS THE BEGINNING OF YOUR PROJECT

The Forum is held in the framework of realization the student societies development programme supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and the Russian Student Center Rosstudentchestvo.

More than 200 young people representing universities and SSEIs of Kursk, Moscow, Yaroslavl, Voronezh, Tambov, Belgorod and other regions will communicate with like-minded people and work on their projects within five days.

According to the organizers, the aim of the "Platform" is to support student initiatives, to assist the students in their self-fulfillment and to improve their skills and competencies.

Mikhail Ezopov, Deputy Director of the Russian Student Center Rosstudentchestvo, told about the forum opportunities and underlined that the forum gained an interregional status due to the cooperation of BelSU and the Russian Student Center.

"We are here to demonstrate the students new opportunities in their projects' implementation. Any forum provides the participants with the chance to communicate with like-minded people and federal experts. I believe that these five days will be very fruitful", - said Mikhail Vasiljevich.

The forum will be working in seven thematic areas: "Public youth organizations", "Student self management", "Youth media", "Project management", "Training and retraining of GMP specialists", "Intercultural cooperation" and "Young entrepreneur".

Andrey Chesnokov, Deputy Head of the Department of Domestic and Personnel policy, Head of the Youth Policy Department, emphasized that the creation of the Central Federal District forum is a great contribution of BelSU, for the university organizes not only intra-university, but also interregional and international events at its venue.

"I wish the participants to put their most spirited ideas into practice without any fear. In our turn, we are ready to support any idea within the frames of a grant competition "Platform 31", - said Andrey Valerjevich.

The educational programme of the forum will consist of workshops and lectures by leading experts, scientific and educational conferences, meetings with famous people, government leaders and heads of different companies.

The forum will be culminated in the project competition. Winners of each thematic area will receive funds for the implementation of their projects.

Svetlana Ostrikova, Pro-Rector for Cultural and Educational Affairs of BelSU, welcomed the participants and organizers at the opening ceremony of "Platform 31".

"Platform-31 is a place for creative ideas and friendship. On the territory of healthcare complex Nezhegol we hold a project school "Pegas", International Language Summer School, Young Historians and Philosophers Schools, and the school "Leader", which will soon begin its work. I wish all of you, dear friends, to fill your life with substantive activities, to have an inner flame and to share it with others, to really be, but not to seam, because this is the main purpose of leaders", - addressed Svetlana Aleksandrovna the forum participants.

The opening ceremony of "Platform 31" was adorned by dance and musical performances by the BelSU creative teams "Maridance" (ballet dancers) and the band "31 Region". The event ended with a colourful firework.
