The seventh International congress on cognitive linguistics takes place at BelSU

Leading experts of Institute of linguistics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Lomonosov Moscow State University, St. Petersburg State University and also the leading cognitiology linguists from higher educational institutions of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tambov, Yekaterinburg, Tyumen, Barnaul, Volgograd, Saratov, Tomsk, Kursk, Voronezh, Krasnoyarsk, Astrakhan, Kaliningrad, Belgorod and other cities, scientists from Great Britain, China, Ukraine, Belarus, Germany, Iran, Slovakia, the USA, Japan and other countries will take part in work of the congress.

The choice of BelSU as the scientific platform for carrying out the congress was made because of its high reputation and the authority of the university on the basis of which one of the largest regional offices of RALK uniting in the ranks of the linguists making a serious contribution to development of cognitive researches of language in Russia.

Participants of the congress were greeted by the rector of BelSU the doctor of political sciences, professor Oleg Polukhin.

“We are delighted that our university hosts such important scientific event. I am sure that discussions which will begin today and will continue on master classes tomorrow and round tables will form the basis of new scientific projects”, – the rector said.

The Doctor of Philology, professor, the honored scientist of Russian Federation, the president of the All-Russian public organization "Russian Association of Cognitology linguists" Nikolay Boldyrev has in turn thanked the management of higher education institution for hospitality and support in the organization of the congress. He has noted that the Belgorod office of Association is the oldest and largest on the territory of Russia.

During the congress the scientists will consider a wide range of the problems directed to phenomenon of language as mental ability of the person in a wide humanitarian context.
