Teachers of BelSU have taken part in School of scientific communication "Efficient scientific activity: how to become a successful scientist"
The event where the latest researches of language and features of teaching in a foreign language have been presented has taken place at the Tomsk Polytechnic National Research University. The companies Elsevier, EBSCO, IEEE, the professional engineering association and the Ti-Ling company specializing on linguistic maintenance have acted as general partners of School of scientific communication. Russian and English were working languages of the School.
The School of scientific communication has united more than two hundred branches of knowledge which imparted own experience of the international cooperation, domestic and foreign grant activity, the last developments in the field of the humanitarian sphere and scientometric calculations. Among lecturers of School were representatives of the companies Elsevier, Clarivate Analytics, IEEE, association of Russian-speaking scientists in Europe, representatives of the Oxford Association EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction).
BelSU was represented by lecturers: Doctor of Philology, associate professor, professor of department of the English philology and cross-cultural communication Irina Kupriyeva and master of philology, assistant to department of the English philology and cross-cultural communication Stanislava Smirnova. They have told about the first results of works on the "Variability of English of Great Britain in the conditions of Influence of Political, Social and Economic Factors (on Internet Discourse Material)" project, supported by the Russian President grant for young scientists – doctors of science.
Scientists have presented research laboratory of language monitoring in which the complex research of a language situation in English of modern discoursive space is carried out, and have designated the prospects of works in the field of language environment studying under the influence of political, social and economic factors.
