International house of friends

Staff of the center has presented an exhibition of greeting cards from everyone who wanted to wish Happy Birthday to the Center. During September the Center has held a contest for the best video congratulation. The winners were announced at the anniversary celebration. Diplomas of participation were handed to association of Moldovian students, association of Chinese students, the representative of the International student's office Yulia Chaykina, Dandzhinu Jean-Claude Senacpon (Benin), Yakubov Fayzullo (Tajikistan); diplomas of winners were handed to association of Armenia, Gulnar Begseydova (Turkmenistan). The winners were also awarded with memorable presents: the bracket clock with the image of Belgorod.

The ceremony of awards was held by the vice rector for cultural and educational activity Svetlana Ostrikova.

“We opened this center for the 140^th anniversary of our university as a gift to all students of various nationalities. This year many different events have been organized. Their main goal was consolidation of peace and friendship between the people, between students who have arrived to our higher education institution from various countries of the world. The main task of the center is to form love and mutual respect in young people, to do everything in order that you could realize the creative potential”, – she said.

The director of the Center Elena Nazarenko has emphasized that every day the Center of cross-cultural communication brings together more and more friends.

“I am very pleased to see those who took part in work of the Center last year and those who have joined our big international family in new academic year”, – she said.

The student from Bulgaria Sofia Geninska has told about the role of the Center in the life of foreign students.

“We find new friends in the Center of cross-cultural communication, we learn modern languages, we get acquainted with new culture, day after day opening the new horizons, every day learning things about the world and ourselves", – Sofia has told.
