BelSU develops international relations

Delegation of BelSU which included vice rector for international cooperation Vladislav Kuchmisty, director of Institute of Cross-Cultural Communication and International Relations Olga Prokhorova, deputy director for scientific and international affairs Jerome Bagana visited University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava to congratulate the university with it 20^th anniversary.

During the visit the delegation met the rector of the University of Trnava Josef Matusch, the vice rector for international relations Ruzhena Kozmova, the vice rector for science Josef Liehotai, the dean of philosophical department Catharina Slobodova and also the deputy dean of faculty of social sciences Edyta Purova. Issues of further cooperation, in particular the academic mobility of teachers and students, teaching the Russian and Slovak languages (which has been added as a foreign language at BelSU Institute of Cross-Cultural Communication and International relations this academic year), plans of joint educational programs, participation in grants for the organization of the academic mobility, the publication of articles in magazines of partner higher education institutions, etc. were discussed at meetings. The parties have also agreed to develop cooperation on the "European Studies" educational program (Foreign regional studies, the master program).

the Russian Ambassador in the Slovak republic Alexey Fedorov has also taken part in the program of an anniversary meeting. He met delegation of BelSU in Embassy of the Russian Federation in Bratislava. Attache on culture Vladislav Kulikov and attache Elena Epishina, the director of the Russian center of science and culture in Bratislava Tatyana Mishukovskaya have also participated in the meeting and discussed issues of advance of BelSU educational services in higher education institutions and bilingual schools of the Slovak Republic, the organization of summer school for Russian students at BelSU.

The delegation of BelSU has also visited the Russian center of science and culture in Vienna (Republic of Austria) and has met the director of the center Valentina Shevergina. During the conversation the agreement on advance of BelSU in educational space of Austria, has been reached upon participation of BelSU in establishment of contacts with the Slavic centers at the universities of Innsbruck and Salzburg, upon participation in on-stage performance groups of BelSU in the events held within a Year of music of the Russian Federation in Austria, etc.
