University became the ground for discussion of the latest technologies in agriculture

The forum was organized by the Russian company "Albiogen" and American "illumina". The staff of the Russian research institutes, universities and agricultural holdings participated in a seminar. During the event doctor Florian Graedler gave a course of lectures about the modern technologies in genomics of farm animals. The staff of the companies gave a practical training in preparation of genomic libraries and carrying out the analysis of DNA on the genetic analyzer of new generation.

Features of bioinformation processing of the obtained data were also shown. At the end of the seminar official certificates were issued for participants. Besides, guests of honor visited a winter garden, the museum BelSU and the geological and mineralogical museum. The director of the center of genomic selection Eduard Snegin emphasized that such events will allow to considerably increase the level of scientific research in livestock production.
