Challenges of social and cultural adaptation of migrants were discussed at BelSU

To discuss a number of topical issues, including sociocultural and language adaptation of foreign citizens in Russia, complex Russian language examination, history of Russia and principles of the legislation of the Russian Federation which are intended to become the effective instrument of integration have gathered representatives of BelSU, Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, representatives of Management for migration of Regional Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia across the Belgorod region and others.

Attendees were welcomed by the vice rector for the international cooperation of BelSU Vladislav Kuchmisty who has noted relevance of a subject of discussion at the regional and federal level.

“I am glad that people directly related to a question of adaptation of migrants have gathered at BelSU, - Vladislav Kuchmisty has emphasized. – We need to create a basis for the following adaptation of migrants”.

The vice rector for additional education of Peoples' Friendship University of Russia Angela Dolzhikova has acted as the co-organizer of a round table conference. She focused attention of colleagues on two aspects – language and sociocultural adaptation of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation. During work of a round table the role of public organizations in social adaptation of migrants and the mechanism of interaction of the authorities, public organizations and local centers of testing functioning at the universities has been discussed.
