BelSU expands the borders of students’ academic mobility

In spite of the fact that it is one of the relatively young universities of France, it already has the special status of JEDI (Joint, Excellent & Dynamic, Initiative) that grants it the right for carrying out researches on the perspective and innovative directions of modern science. For implementation of this ambitious program the famous scientists from France and other countries for training of students and graduate students with a high potential are attracted.

Signing of the agreement on the joint management of a dissertation research on philology of the graduate student of Institute of cross-cultural communication and the international relations of BelSU Alina Sirotenko became one of aspects of cooperation between BelSU and UCA JEDI. The research is guided by professor of BelSU Doctor of Philology Elena Mikhaylova and professor of UCA JEDI, the Doctor of Philology Veronique Montan. The perspective of Alina Sirotenko’s scientific research is connected with such perspective directions of modern linguistics as history of a linguistic thought, diachronic linguistics and the theory of language. Defense of a thesis in Russian (in dissertation council of NIU "BELGU") and in French (at UCA JEDI) is planned for 2018. In case of successful defense of a thesis Alina Sirotenko will receive academic degrees of Candidate of Philology and PhD.
