Scientists of BelSU discovered a combination of genes responsible for development of hypertension

Patented invention (technique) will help to warn patients about risk of development of this disease.

The knowhow was checked during the research conducted in the Belgorod regional hospital of the Prelate Ioasaf. More than 1500 people participated in the research.

“Genetic approach to estimation of both risk of diseases development, and complications, will help to determinate the risk group, and warn these adverse effects. We used genes of matrix metalloproteinase to estimate their role in formation of a disease and to use in forecasting of risks of a course of a disease, development of complications”, – the head of a research, the doctor of medical sciences, the head of the BelSU Institute of Medicine Medicobiological disciplines department Mikhail Churnosov said. – The received results showed that use of a way will allow to form at a preclinical stage among patients of risk group and in due time to realize necessary treatment-and-prophylactic actions for prevention of development of an essential hypertensia in these groups.

The way of a research will allow to define existence of predisposition to development of a hypertonia in patients and to work on prophylaxis.
