The state and regional awards were presented to representatives of BelSU

In the Government house of the region the governor Evgeny Savchenko has handed the state and regional awards. Merits of 53 people have been noted. The rector of the Belgorod State University Oleg Polukhin is conferred an annual award of Nikolay Ryzhkov "Creation" for achievements in the humanitarian and social sphere.

In a response Oleg Polukhin has emphasized that education is the main mission of the university.

“We are glad that this activity was highly appreciated. It gives us additional strength in improvement of quality of education at our university and in work on education of the real patriots of Belgorod region and Russia, – Oleg Polukhin said. – There is one more mission – a development of volunteering and charity. Recently we have opened a marathon "A warm word – a good deed". Today the university acts as a patron of 20 child care social facilities of our area. Last year we have collected more than one million rubles and have transferred means to boarding schools and orphanages of the region. The main thing, of course, not in money, but in the kindness and sympathy, which students of the university give to children who are deprived of parental attention and participation. Following an example of students, allow me to give a part of an award to Belgorod orphanage under our patronation, and to orthodox kindergarten "Rozhdestvensky".

The vice rector for culture and education Svetlana Ostrikova has been awarded with the medal "For Merits to Brlgorod region" of the first degree.
