Students of foreign associations of BelSU have held a Christmas charity concert
On Catholic Christmas Eve foreign students have held a charity gala concert on which the audience has brought toys, sweets and books for the children undergoing treatment in oncological office of Children's regional clinical hospital.
“We want the holiday to come to every house , that nobody was left without warmth and attention on Christmas, especially those whose life is hard now”, – the student of Medical institute, one of organizers of a concert Rezhin João said.
The third year students from Angola organize this charity event in Belgorod, and at home. In the 2017 students from Zambia, Kenya, Mozambique, Cape Verde, Indonesia, Brazil, Bolivia, Armenia, Uzbekistan, India and Russia also participated in a concert.
Vice rector for cultural and educational activity Svetlana Ostrikova and the deputy vice rector for the international activity, the dean of Preparatory department Mikhail Trubitsyn have addressed attendees with welcoming speech. They have congratulated the audience with upcoming New year and Christmas.
“It is very important in the modern world not to lose kindness and humanity, to give warmth of care and participation. Thank you for your kind hearts”! – Svetlana Ostrikova said.
Students of foreign associations have in turn thanked the management of BelSU and the director of the Cross-cultural communication Center Elena Nazarenko for the given opportunity to hold a concert on the stage of BelSU and also for support and the help in the solution of organizational issues.
In conclusion of evening the Kebrantadush band has congratulated everyone with uocoming New year and Christmas, and presented to listeners a musical composition "Feliz Navidad".
