New Dissertation board began to work at BelSU

The first meeting of new dissertation council on specialties: 14.01.01 Obstetrics and gynecology, 14.01.14 Stomatology, 14.01.17 Surgery took place at BelSU.

The famous scientists-physicians including three academicians of RAS became members of dissertation board: doctor of medical sciences, Professor Alexander Chernousov, doctor of medical sciences, Professor Valery Leontyev, doctor of medical sciences, Professor Victor Gostishchev, corresponding member of RAS doctor of medical sciences, professor Sergey Ivanov.

Rector of BelSU, doctor of political sciences, Professor Oleg Polukhin congratulated members of dissertation council on the beginning of work and expressed the words of gratitude to the scientists who have become a part of the board.

“I am glad to welcome you at the first meeting of one of five dissertation boards of Medical institute. This is a milestone event in the history of our university. Currently BelSU has 19 dissertation councils. Last year our university has been given the right of autonomous SCA. It means that our science is at rather high level. And we will do everything to justify this highest confidence; we will move forward”. – said Oleg Polukhin.

At the first meeting under the chairmanship of the director of Medical institute, the doctor of medical sciences, professor Vladimir Kulikovsky two theses have been considered: on stomatology and surgery.

By results of vote of members of the board both applicants academic degrees of the candidate of medical sciences were awarded.
