BelSU celebrates Maslenitsa

Students of BelSU have gathered on the in front of the hostel No. 5 to celebrate one of days of Pancake Week – "Lakomka". The holiday has begun with the charitable fair organized by students of the university. Among a food there were not only traditional pancakes, but also a set of other delicacies: fritters, homemade cookies, the pilaf made by foreign students etc. Students from Africa and Iraq presented the national cuisines. Chinese students treated friends with fragrant green tea.

The event included competitions, and sports tournaments. During the Maslenitsa the pancakes frying master class has been held.

The Russian bear and Pelican – a symbol of Teacher training college entertained guests of Maslenitsa. The traditional burning of a Winter Scarecrow symbolizing fast arrival of spring became the culmination of Pancake week festivities.

All funds raised during the charitable fair have been transferred to BROO "Sacred Belogorie against Children's Cancer".
