Cooperation of scientists – an impulse in scientific development

Professor, the Dr.Sci.Biol. Marina Skorkina and the manager of department of biology, professor, the Dr.Sci.Biol. Elena Dumachyova have met the manager of Ott Scientific research institute of obstetrics, gynecology and reproduction laboratory of cellular biology (St. Petersburg), professor of RAS, the winner of Government of the Russian Federation award, professor of St.Petersburg State University general physiology department Victoria Polyakova.

During the visit of the colleague have discussed issues of development and joint cooperation in biogerontology. Scientists have agreed about performance of joint scientific research on studying of mechanisms of aging at the cellular level, morphology and features of cellular physiology of various lines on the basis of immunohistochemical visualization with use of tissue matrixes, a confocal, atomic and power microscopy.

Professor Marina Skorkina and professor Elena Dumachyova have completed advanced training courses in St. Petersburg State University, in the center of Development of molecular cellular technologies.

The program of courses included lectures of the leading world-class scientists in the field of a proteomics, in particular, professor of the Virginia university A. Kolobov has read lectures on synthesis and purification of recombinant proteins, receiving and application of monoclonal antibodies in laboratory and clinical practice.
