A team from BSNRU Medical College visited the Tusnolobova-Marchenko Medical College in Polotsk, Belarus
Professor Evgeny Krikun M.D., the director of the Medical College, and Olga Konova, a clinician and teacher, visited the Tusnolobova-Marchenko Medical College in Polotsk in order to participate in a seminar devoted to methodology.
The main purpose of the visit, however, was the conclusion of an agreement on international cooperation. This agreement will include internships where professional skills will be nurtured through a joint additional educational program called 'Professional Competence for Secondary Vocational Education Teachers'. The delegation also finalised an agreement on the development and implementation of the 'Road Map' for cooperation during the academic years 2018-2020, which will see the colleges conducting various events for students, including an academic exchange program. Both parties also agreed to initiate other joint projects in the field of scientific research and the development of additional educational programs.
The delegation from BSNRU took part in a methodical seminar on 'Innovative Training Methods in Professional Medical Education', in which Professor Krikun drew attention to the need for Virtual Reality equipment in implementing educational programs. At the end of the seminar Professor Krikun thanked our colleagues from the Tusnolobova-Marchenko Medical College, noting the importance and advantages of bilateral cooperation, which helps to improve and develop the educational process.
