The Law Institute Works with Their Bulgarian Counterparts

A group of students from the Law Institute, accompanied by Professor Elena Safronova, the Chair of Constitutional and International Law, took part in meetings and study in line with a cooperation agreement between our two universities.

Professor Safronova also participated in a discussion around the results of dissertation research undertaken by Sanki Mohammed, a BSNRU post-graduate, at Veliko Tarnovo University's Department of Public Law. This resulted in establishing the terms for defending a PhD thesis in a Bulgarian partner university.

The trip also set out the protocols for establishing an international Centre for Legal Studies involving our two universities. BSNRU Rector, Professor Oleg Polukhin and Veliko Tarnovo University Rector, Professor Hristo Bondjolov are due to sign the agreements in April 2018.
Our Bulgarian partners warmly welcomed our delegation. The students got to meet with Professor Bondjolov, and the Bulgarian students held a meeting of the University's Diplomatic Club, with our students as honoured guests.
