The subject of the forum was, 'Issues around improving medical care and professional medical education'. This included a session on 'Modern ways of organising nursing activity and training mid-level specialists'.
Over one hundred delegates, including representatives of healthcare professionals and teachers and directors of Nursing Colleges from all over Belgorod Region and further afield, gathered in the conference hall of the Continental Hotel to discuss topical issues concerning medical care and medical education.
Among those participating in the forum were Galina Giyenko, the Chief Freelance Specialist in Nurse Management at the Department of Health and Social Protection for the Population of Belgorod Region, Nikolai Selivanov, the Director of the Stary Oskol Medical College and Candidate of Medical Science, Vladislav Gatsutsyn, the Deputy Director for Teaching and Methodology at Valuky Medical College, and Professor Evgeny Krikun, the Director of the Medical College of the Medical Institute at BSNRU.
The forum heard reports on both the results of research into the main problems and issues around training mid-level professionals, and improvement in the organisation of nursing activities currently under way.
