BSNRU Makes the URAP Top 30 in Russia

Updated results have been published for the world's top 2500 universities. URAP was launched in 2010 by the Research Laboratory of the Institute of Informatics at the Middle East Technical University of Ankara. This rating is included in the system of universally recognized global university ratings and is based on the same statistics as the Shanghai and Taiwanese ratings systems, and on Web of Science statistics.

URAP assesses 3000 universities, in contrast to the Shanghai system, which takes only 800 into account. In the recently updated URAP 2017-2018, BSNRU has made 2294^th position in the world placing 27^th of the 32 Russian universities included. Our University is the only higher educational institution in Belgorod Region that is ranked in the URAP survey. The best ranked Russian university is Lomonosov Moscow State University, which is in 194^th position. Professor Vladimir Moskovskin, from the Center for Strategic Development and Science, explained that,

“The point system used for calculating the integrated indicators of the URAP rating system allows us to conclude that BSNRU, according to the cumulative index of publication activity and citation which is calculated on the basis of the Web of Science statistics, has six times fewer points than Lomonosov Moscow State University and ten times fewer than top-placed Harvard. For us, this represents a very good result.”
