Teachers from our University took part in the 5th International Scientific Conference on 'Anthropological and Theo-Anthropological Views on Physical Activity from the Time of Constantine the Great to the Present'.
Professor Fedor Sobyanin of the Department of Theory and Methods of Physical Education at the Pedagogical Institutes Faculty of Physical Education and Dr Elena Karabutova, Associate Professor at the Pedagogical Institutes Department of Foreign Languages, represented the University at the Conference, which took place in Kopaonik, a ski resort in central Serbia. Our delegates took part in events that included speaking at the plenary session, and moderating a subsession of the Conference.
They then visited the editorial board of the international magazine 'Physical Education and Sport Through the Centuries', and spoke with its editor-in-chief, Professor Nenad Živanović. Professor Sobyanin and Dr Karabutova then visited Leposavić in Kosovo, the location of the Faculty of Physical Culture of the University of Priština (also known as the University of Kosovska Mitrovica), in order to visit the Dean, Professor Veroljub Stanković. They then met with Branislav Antala, the president of FIEP Europe (Fédération internationale d'éducation physique), to explore the possibility of further European cooperation, including our active participation in European research projects under the auspices of recognised international organisations.
The outcome of the negotiations was an agreement that in November 2018, Dr Antala will pay an official visit to the Pedagogical Institutes Faculty of Physical Education, during which negotiations will continue on new formats for cooperation between BSNRU and the FIEP.<< Back to the list |
