Students and teachers from the Institute of Management participated in a joint educational project along with the Hanze University of Applied Sciences (from the Netherlands) and the Uganda Christian University.
This is the second time students and teachers from the Institute have taken part in the ' International Entrepreneurship & Innovation' project. The project entails that teams of students from each University work together on business projects aimed at sustainable development in their respective territories that also meet the innovation criteria.
The teams were made up of two students from each university. The team from the Uganda Christian University was led by Mr Martin Kabanda, Dean of the Faculty of Business & Administration, Their project was aimed at sustainable development in the Ugandan tourism industry. The team from BSNRU worked on a project about using alternative energy sources for laptop chargers. This project was supervised by the Institute of Management's Department of Management Organisation and Marketing, and is intended to be of benefit to Belgorod Region. At the Hanze University of Applied Sciences, a team led by Associate Professor Richard Benes, from the School of Financial and Economic Management, worked on a mobile application project, which helps to reduce emissions.
The project included joint on-line seminars, master classes and training, and lasted for two months. There was active interaction between students and teachers from the partner universities.
Dr Natalia Mamatova and Dr Svetlana Pryadko, Associate Professors from the Department of Management Organisation and Marketing, evaluated the projects. The working group for BSNRU included Professor Viktor Zakharov, Director of the Institute of Management, Dr Larissa Shmigirilova, Deputy Director for International Activities, Dr Boris Tkhorikov, Head of the Department of Management Organisation and Marketing, Dr Maria Dakhova, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Management Organisation and Marketing, and Dr Zhanna Bubyreva, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages and Professional Communication at The Institute of Cross-cultural Communications and International Relations.
Work on this international educational project will continue at the Hanze University of Applied Sciences.
