For the first time, the contest, timed to coincide with Radio Day, was held in Belgorod Region, and four of our students took away prizes
The awards ceremony took place at the 'Belgorod' State TV and Radio Company (GRTK Belgorod). Our students, all from the University's 'BELy GUs'* radio station, received certificates and statuettes from Yuri Pomelnikov, director of GRTK Belgorod, and Vladimir Nosov, the Regional Chairman of the Russian Peace Foundation.
Natalia Koreneva, a Psychology student, and Mirzoanis Yakubov, studying Journalism, picked up awards in the 'Man and His Work' category, while Alisa Lukhanina, a language student, and Alina Voskoboynikova (head of BELy GUs), another Journalism student, won in the 'A Peek at the Family Album' category.
In his address, Mr Pomelnikov talked about the mastery and professionalism shown by Lyudmila Logvinova, and congratulated the students on their awards. In his speech, Mr Nosov highlighted our students professionalism.
* 'BELy GUs' is a pun on the Russian name for the University 'BelGU', and translates as 'White Goose'
