Oleg Boyarchuk, who graduated from the Physical Education Department of BNRU Pedagogical Institute, won the competition for the title of ‘The Best Firefighter’
Competitions were held at the stadium of the Main Directorate of the Ministry for Emergencies of Russia in the Belgorod Region within the framework of the Year of Safety Culture and the All-Russian Festival on Safety and People Rescue ‘Constellation of Courage’. The final stage of the contest consisted of several stages - theoretical (firefighters answered questions about medical care, labor protection and fire fighting characteristics), and stages of general physical training and fire-applied sports. The participants had to compete in running for 1,000 meters, shuttle running, tying a special rescue knot and overcoming a hundred meter obstacle course. In addition, the firemen had to get into full combat uniforms in the fourth floor of the training tower. Oleg took advantage because of the skills obtained during training at the Physical Education Department. The contestants were evaluated for speed and professionalism.
As a result, ‘The Best Firefighter’ title was awarded to Oleg Boyarchuk, a graduate of the Physical Education Department of BNRU Pedagogical Institute. He said that the best award is a positive result in the struggle against extreme circumstances, and people’s safety.
