Junior Volleyball Championship came to an end in Belgium
The Belgian city of Kortrijk became the capital of European volleyball for 10 days: the best junior teams of the old world met in a tournament over the champion title. The Russian team included a student of the BNRU Pedagogical Institute Physical Education Department Egor Sidenko, who plays in the position of an opposite hitter.
In addition, the Belgorod region was represented by Alexander Zakhvatenkov, who submitted applications for admission to BNRU, and Ivan Kuznetsov. In the group of 5 matches, the Russian team won 4. At the semi-final stage, the Russians were stronger than the Dutch, and in the decisive game for the title of champions with a score of 3-2 they defeated the Czech team.
This victory allowed the sportsmen to fulfill the standard of the Master of Sports of Russia.
