Journalisitic award goes to BNRU

The final of the All-Russian contest of mass media ‘Patriot of Russia’ this year was held in Kazan. 359 publications from all over the country took part in the competition, 1844 works were presented. A third-year student of the Faculty of Journalism, Ekaterina Tikhonova became the winner in the nomination ‘Young Russia’. The winners were awarded at the National Cultural Center of Kazan, where journalists from all over Russia gathered. During the round table, representatives of the mass media discussed the most acute problems of the development of Russian journalism and patriotic education in the new Russian realities.

Catherine prepared several articles about athletes of BNRU in the student online magazine ‘Nota Bene’. Sketches about the world champions - Anna Samygina and Yuliya Minakova - received the highest rating of the jury.

According to the winner of the contest, the heroes of the articles turned out to be interesting and very purposeful people, embodying the best qualities of modern Russian youth. In the department of public relations, Catherine was offered to send publications to the contest ‘Patriot of Russia’.
