Students-volunteers of the first courses took care of plants at Vezelka River
Willow Alley of first-year students of BNRU was planted in spring at the bank of Vezelka river as the implementation of the regional project ‘Green Capital’ in Volunteer Year. More than three hundred students have taken part in planting of hundreds of willow seedlings.
The next stage of the project implementation was agrotechnical care for plantings. First-year students have watered and mulched young trees. The students admitted that they will continue to participate in the university's volunteer movement in the future.
According to Natalya Molchanova, consultant of the department of standards for planting and reproduction of the flora of the environmental management department of the department of the agro-industrial complex and the reproduction of the environment of the Belgorod region, five Belgorod universities are involved in the implementation of the project.
“We plan to carry out agrotechnical care, and I think that future graduates will see how important their current volunteer activity is. Memorable alleys will remind them about the student years as the best years of their lives”, – she said.
