More than 500 children from different regions of the country were trained at the Scientific and Educational Center ‘Engineering School of BNRU’
This year more than 500 children from Belgorod, Kursk, Voronezh, Lipetsk, Moscow, Leningrad regions, as well as Russian-speaking children from America and Netherlands were trained on the vacation program of the Engineering School. In total, during the summer, seven shifts were organized.
During this time, the children were able to master modern technologies together with the best teachers of the university, representatives of enterprises of the Belgorod region, to try their hand at various forms of creativity and in sports. In the course of the shifts, there were quests, excursions around the university and the city etc.
“About 65 percent of the children who went to school today will work in the future on specialties that we are not familiar with today. That is why in the Engineering School all educational programs are interconnected with the matrix of scientific technological initiative and atlas of new professions”, - said the Director of the Engineering School Olga Khudasova.
Over the holidays, the children defended more than 150 projects, 12 of which received a chance to be realized within the framework of the Engineering School and the enterprises of the region. More than 40 projects will participate in all-Russian and international competitions.
“The projects of children are not childish, moreover, they are filled with social meaning. During the seventh vacation shift, young researchers developed a ‘brain claw’ for people with disabilities, set the task of creating an innovative filter for plants. There was also such a vital project as the biomechanical prosthesis of the eye. They are not only worked on the project, but also reflected on its application in life”, - Olga Khudasova commented on the projects of the participants of the seventh shift.
