Doctor of Philology, Professor, a member of the Union of Russian Writers Svetlana Kosharnaya won the poetic nomination of The 6th International Literary Tyutchev Contest ‘Thinking Reed’
Dr. Svetlana Kosharnaya, a professor of the Russian language and Russian literature department, became the owner of the Grand Prix of the competition - the crystal figurine Tyutchev Swan depicting the main heraldic figure of the Tyutchev family coat of arms - the crystal swan wings framing the staff and the crown. In addition, Lana Yasnova became the winner of the diploma and the First prize of the competition.
The 6th International Literary Tyutchev Contest ‘Thinking Reed’ was organized by the All-Russian Public Organization ‘Union of Russian Writers’ and the State Memorial Historical and Literary Museum-Reserve of F.I. Tyutchev ‘Ovstug’. The purpose of the competition is to preserve and continue the philosophical traditions of Tyutchev's poetry in the contemporary literary process.
Traditionally, the contest was held in two categories: ‘Poetry’ and ‘Essays’.
The organizing committee included the First Secretary of the Board of the Union of Russian Writers, a member of the Russian PEN club, the prose writer Svetlana Vasilenko (Moscow), the director of the State Historical and Literary Museum-Reserve of F.I. Tyutchev ‘Ovstug’ Oksana Sheikina (Ovstug village, Bryansk region), the curator of the competition is a member of the Union of Russian Writers, poet and prose writer Marina Anashkevich (Moscow).
Participants of the contest are professional writers from Russia and abroad, members of the Union of Russian Writers, members of the Writers' Union of Russia and other literary associations; students of creative universities. The shortlist of the competition included the names of 32 poets and essayists from Russia, France, Portugal, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Australia, Georgia and Belarus.
