Students of BNRU Mining and Nature Management Department took summer training in the Crimea, Vladikavkaz and Kazakhstan, and collected more than 250 samples of minerals
The practice of BNRU geology students annually takes place at the educational geological range of the Russian State Geological Prospecting University in the village of Prokhladnoye eastern part of the Bakhchsarai district (Republic of Crimea). Future mining engineers study the geological, tectonic structure, the features of the mountain relief, minerals and hydrogeological characteristics of the selected region.
Students underwent 12 geological training routes compiled geological maps, as well as collected a collection of more than 250 samples of minerals, rocks and fossils, which will be added to the collection of the unique geological and mineralogical museum of BNRU named after. A.N. Petin. In addition, the students visited the zone of ecological disaster - the city of Aralsk, as well as JSC ‘Araltuz’ - one of the largest enterprises in the CIS, which produces salt. The North Caucasian Mining and Metallurgical Institute - SKGMI, in Vladikavkaz, became the starting point of the educational geographic practice of second-year students.
