Svetlana Yaduta, a 4th year Student at BNRU's Law Institute picked up an award at the 13th National Student 'My Legislative Initiative' Law Competition, sponsored by the Federal Duma and the 'Integration' Organisation*
Ms Yaduta was selected to take part in the competition on the strength of work she had submitted for evaluation. She was invited to attend the main event, which took place in Nepetsino, Moscow Region, to present her work entitled 'Problems of Appropriation and Waste in Russian Federal Legislation, at Home and Abroad'.
She was ably guided in her research by Dr Oksana Stepanyuk, Head of the Criminal Law Faculty. The expert panel were suitably impressed by Ms Yaduta's work and awarded her a First Class Competition Diploma and a prize for the 'Best Scientific Research by a Student'.
